Joe Palermo of Lake Charles and the Benefits of Instrumentality

Local businessman Joe Palermo Lake Charles plays not one but two different musical instruments. He has learned both the guitar and the drums, and even served as a member of a band in Southwest Louisiana. Playing a musical instrument has many benefits that are not always acknowledged.
  • People who play a musical instrument have a better handle on personal organization and time management. This is because musicians understand the need for continual practice. It does not matter what instrument they play; they must practice to maintain their level of instrumentality or to improve it. Understanding this, they tend to work harder at managing their time and organizing opportunities for musical practice.
  • Playing a musical instrument helps to increase a person's memory and long-term recall functions. Numerous studies of people from all age groups and demographics have shown that instrumentality changes the way the human brain functions, improves memory, and decreases the likelihood for developing a cognitive disorder such as dementia.
  • Musicians tend to work better in teams or groups. When a member of a band places themselves in the position to be accountable for their talent and actions, the team skills they develop transfer over to their professional lives as well. This means that instrument players are often better team players.
  • Persons who are skilled with an instrument have better abilities to read and comprehend the written word. Joe Palermo of Lake Charles knows that reading music to play an instrument boosts the natural ability to work cognitively.

Joe Palermo of Lake Charles and Real Estate Trends

Joe Palermo of Lake Charles is a real estate developer who keeps his finger on the pulse of the latest trends in the business. The following facts will help other developers and real estate professionals stay on top of the most current trends in their field.

  • Consumers are using their smart phones and mobile devices more than ever to search for real estate properties. This has been seen across the board, for both commercial and residential locations. As such, sellers have made a point to offer online listings that are mobile friendly and easy to view. This allows potential buyers to search while on the road, driving to the locations that they may be interested in owning.

  • Real estate sales are being driven by Generation X and Y. Generation X demographics, those buyers and sellers between the ages of thirty-five to forty-five, account for the largest percentage of home and business buyers. Generation Y, the group aged from twenty-four to thirty-four, make up the second largest pool. Both generations are more tech-savvy than their older counterparts and require a system that meets their demands.

  • Micro apartments, and small spaces in general, are a hot trend in all of real estate. More buyers are looking for small spaces to call their own. This trend helps the potential buyer to save money while still having a pace to call their own.  Joe Palermo of Lake Charles finds the latest real estate trends both important to his career and interesting.

Joe Palermo - Lake Charles Businessman the Developer of the Bad Boy Buggy

Joe Palermo, a businessman and property developer based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, helped develop the Bad Boy Buggy in 2003. The Bad Boy Buggy is an off-road electric vehicle. Although some had to be recalled back in 2007, the newest models are extremely safe, efficient, and tough. Palermo has many years of experience running several businesses and property development companies. In 1963, he founded Palermo Realty Development, a company he still runs to this day. For decades, Palermo Realty Development partnered with Palermo’s second company, Palermo Construction Company, established in 1967, to increase the value of properties throughout the Lake Charles area in southwest Louisiana.

Joe Palermo has founded several businesses in the Lake Charles area since Palermo Realty Development was founded. In 2003, Palermo decided to get into the 4x4 off-road market with a new vehicle that ran on electricity. The struggle with the Bad Boy Buggy was its perceived weakness on the trail. Consumers thought that with an electric engine, the buggy wouldn’t be able to take common off-road obstacles such as fallen branches, rocks, and uneven terrain. Joel Palermo of Lake Charles and his management team for Bad Boy Enterprises managed to convince enough investors and eventually customers that the buggy was built for off-road terrains and had plenty of power. Today, Bad Boy Enterprises is an international, multi-million-dollar business.

Joe Palermo Lake Charles built Bad Boy Enterprises on the development of a new electric off-road vehicle, the likes of which hadn’t been seen before. Watch for the release of Bad Boy’s latest model, the Stampede 900.
